Solenopsis Invicta are one of the most successfully established species in the world they have not established themselves in Europe due to our colder climate. They have a variety of worker sizes ranging from small minor to majour workers. These ants are capable of building rafts with their own bodies during wet seasons and can travek along rivers in these rafts keeping the colony protected.

They are a very aggressive species with a potent sting they can paralyse their prey and they are a very popular and desired ant species.

The colonies population can be controlled by restricting/reducing feeding and keeping them at room temp without heat assistance.

This species cannot be released into the wild we recommend if you no longer wish to keep this species contact us and if not, we recommend you destroy the colony including queen by pouring boiling water from a kettle onto the colony directly in the nest making sure the queen and all workers are dead (be careful with hot water to not burn yourself).

Anyone younger than 18 should ask household permission before you keep this species of ants.
